Pinwheels for Prevention

Plant a Pinwheel Garden

See you in 2016!

LACASA’S Child Abuse Prevention (CAP) Council hosts Pinwheels for Prevention in April to commemorate National Child Abuse Prevention Month.

Each spring the community gathers on the front lawn of the Howell Carnegie District Library for a presentation on child abuse prevention.

Guest speakers address the group and a musical presentation is provided by an area school choir.

The event culminates with children planting a Pinwheel Garden along the library’s front entrance.

Blue pinwheels are the national symbol for child abuse and neglect prevention.

The pinwheel is an uplifting reminder of childhood and the bright futures that all children deserve.

The Pinwheel Garden project symbolizes the community’s commitment to protect the children of Livingston County.
